La Potée Oz, usually know just as “the potty” by English speakers, is open at lunchtime and in the evenings.
This is both a lively bar and a restaurant, depending on the time of day.
There is a nice selection of beers and wines as well as lots of soft drinks. Coffee and Hot Chocolate are always available.
Lunchtimes are quieter and its more of a family restaurant; the evenings are much more animated.
There is always a special at lunchtimes, usually the best value meal, as well as a child menu.
You’ll see ski instructors and the “pisteurs”, the ski patrol, eating lunch here every day.
La Potée Oz is an excellent place to eat if you have just finished morning ski lessons and need a bit of a rest before attacking the afternoon. Its just by the place where ski school starts and ends.
A lively bar at the end of the skiing day, its is full of skiers relating their days exploits. First rule of story telling, exaggerate everything!
La Potée Oz transforms into a restaurant in the evening as the skiers retreat to their chalets and apartments for a shower and a rest.
The menu has crowd pleasing dishes such as burgers and steak with generous portions. It has some classic mountain dishes too.
The wine list is small but with some good local wines and classics from all over France.
Its just one of the places to eat in Oz.
